Description

New Charger from La Crosse Technologies. The BC-700 battery charger has all the same features as the popular La Crosse BC-900, except the BC-700 is capable of charge rates of either 200, 500, or 700 mA. This means that the BC-700 will charge 2500 mAh batteries in about 4 hrs at the 700mA charge rate. Slower charge rates often mean longer battery life. (** The BC 900 has charge rates of either 200, 500, 700, 1000, 1500, or 1800 mA. ) Other than the slower charge rates the BC-700 is identical in performance to the BC-900. The BC-700 is Black in color.

Also the BC-700 comes with the AC 100-240 AC Power Adapter only. No additional accessories are included in the standard manufacturer's package.

How long does it take to charge rechargeable batteries using the BC-700 Battery Charger?
Generally around 3 to 4 hours when using the higher charge rate. 6 to 12 or more when charging at the slower rates.

Will the La Crosse BC-700 battery charger charge higher capacity rechargeable batteries?
Yes. As a matter of fact, this BC-700 battery charger was designed not only to charge any capacity of NiMH rechargeable batteries up to 3000 mAh -, it will even charge with very good efficiency.

Do the rechargeable batteries get warm while charging? Yes the rechargeable batteries will get warm while charging and this is normal. The Temperature Sensor Circuit built in to the LaCrosse BC-700 Battery Charger will stop the charge cycle if the rechargeable battery temperatures reach 127°F. As soon as the rechargeable batteries have cooled the automatic charging will resume. This feature will greatly maximize the life of your rechargeable batteries when dangerous overheating is prevented.

Can I use this BC-700 battery charger overseas?
Yes, the BC-700 battery charger has a universal power supply adapter. However, regional plug adapters (changers) may be needed. We also offer regional AC cord adapters available under the accessory section.

Does this BC700 battery charger have the discharge feature?
Yes.

Will the BC-700 Battery Charger charge other brand of rechargeable batteries?
Yes, it will charge all top quality name brand rechargeable batteries.

Can I charge Rechargeable Alkalines in the BC-700 battery charger?
No, it can not recharge alkaline batteries. Please Note: The LA Crosse BC700 battery charger cannot detect if an alkaline battery is inserted into the charging bay. Do not attempt to charge rechargeable or non-rechargeable alkaline batteries. Doing so will burn up your BC-700 charger.

Does the LA CROSSE BC-700 battery charger work in the car?
No, not directly However a voltage converter that converts 12V to AC can be used to provide operation in a car such as our DC to AC converters.

What is the warranty for the BC700 battery charger?
There is a One Year Warranty on the La Crosse BC-700 battery charger.
