The MH-C490F 9V - 9 volt battery charger has a Delta-V based microprocessor which allows the 9 Volt rechargeable batteries to be charged to their full potential. The microprocessor automatically switches from rapid charge to trickle charge after the batteries are finished charging, so that the batteries will maintain their full capacity. Negative Delta V, Zero Delta V, Temperature and Timer control.

Unlike other 9V battery chargers claiming to charge 9V rechargeable batteries in the car, the MH-C490F 9V battery charger has a patented automatic step-up voltage power supply design that makes it capable of charging 8.4V and 9.6V rechargeable batteries to their full capability using a 12V input voltage. 9.6V rechargeable batteries require a minimum of 10.7 volts of charging current thus requiring an input power votage of 15V input to the battery charger itself (See Note)in order to charge rechargeable 9V batteries their full potential using 12V power from your car. The design of the MH-C490F battery charger makes this possible. The Maha MH-C490F battery charger is the one true 9V battery charger that is worthy of being called car capable.

Note: Even 8.4V rechargeable batteries will not charge to their full potential when charged with a battery charger that has a 12V power input. A higher input voltage is often required.

Yes, check out the Maha MH-C1090F model that charges up to ten 9V batteries at a time. It has all of the features of the MH-C490F 9V charger except it does not have the car 12V capability. However you can still use a 12V to AC converter for 12V operation.

Can I use this charger internationally ?
Yes, the MH-C490F 9V charger can be purchased with an International adapter and then a regional plug adapters (changers) may be needed. We also offer regional AC adapters available under the accessory section.

Can I leave the batteries in the Maha MH-C490F 9V battery charger after it is finished charging?
The MH-C490F 9V battery charger is designed to automatically switch to trickle charge when the batteries are finished charging, however it is suggested that you don't leave the charged 9V batteries in the charger for more than 18 hours.
