Now there is a battery tester that is designed to test any "AA", "AAA", "C", "D" or 9V NiMH , NiCD, Alkaline, or any other battery chemistry of the aforementioned sizes. This tester will even test small button type batteries also. Now you can determine if your batteries are charged or even if a battery is defective. Sometimes you know that your set of 4 batteries are not performing right or charging correctly. You know that not all 4 are bad. But which one is? This tester will alert you to the defective battery or non-charging battery.

I've been using this tester for 5 years now. Its extremely accurate and is dead on with 3 other testers I have. I have another analog, digital and voltmeter that all test under load. This tester does test under load and I have measured what the loads are. AA/C: 180ma AAA/N: 80ma 9volt: 18ma D: 300ma 4LR44 6v: 15ma Button cell 1.5v: .75ma I believe these are appropriate loads for these battery types. I use this as my primary tester.
